Today the Nugs guard Voshon Lenard and forward Mark Strickland from the
Miami Heat in exchange for forward Chris Gatling and the 37th pick in tomorrow's NBA
Draft, Nuggets President and Head Coach Dan Issel announced today. I have to say this deal
is better then the Dallas deal that was rumored! Lenard brings us the shooting off the
bench we need, McCloud and Lenard will help out alot. |

Today the Nugs traded a first round pick in the 2001 NBA Draft to the Utah
Jazz for the 26th pick in Wednesday's draft. Utah will receive one of Denver's two first
round selections in next year's draft. |

| The NBA draft was wednesday (6/28) and the Nuggets made the best of their
two picks grabbing a couple of young talented centers, Although it isn't likely Dan will
make the roster Mamadou should be able to make an impact this season. He's farther along
offensively than Dikembe (Mutombo) was at the same time. He runs the court, he's athletic
and he plays defense. He has good upside potential." said Dan Issel. Im hoping the
nugz can pull off some deals this summer and return to the playoffs! Go Nugz!
